Blot (don’t rub) the excess wine stain with a paper towel / dry towel. Then saturate the stained area with Greysons Wine Stain Remover and allow the product to work for 5 to 10 minutes. After this time, blot away (don’t rub) the treated area several times with a paper towel / dry towel. Spray the area with water then dry by blotting. If you don’t have a spray bottle of water, you can use a soaking wet paper towel / towel to wet the treated area. After wetting the area, dry it by blotting. Repeat the water and drying treatment cycle several times until the stain is gone. If the stain persists, re-treat with Greysons and follow the subsequent steps described above.

For older (and dried) wine stains follow the procedure above. We would recommend that you saturate the old wine stain with Greysons Wine Stain Remover and leave to work on the older stain for a minimum of 10 minutes. Then follow the procedure described above.

Important Note: Greysons Wine Stain Remover works to dissolve stains away from carpet, upholstery and/or clothing. It is then important to remove Greysons Wine Stain Remover from the treated area. Fortunately, because it is a water-based product with no solvent, it is readily soluble in water and is easy to remove. Much like you would use a rinse cycle to remove detergent after washing dirty clothes, the water treatment described above is akin to the rinse cycle when laundering clothing. The water treatment described above is necessary to remove the product from the carpet (or upholstery) much like the rinse cycle removes the detergent in a washing cycle.

Blot (don’t rub) the excess wine stain with a paper towel / dry towel. With upholstery, if you are able to unzip the cover off the cushion core, that would be the ideal situation to be in prior to treating with Greysons Wine Stain Remover. The directions and procedure for cleaning stains on upholstery will be the same as that for carpets. See Important Note Above.

If the stain is fresh, blot (don’t rub) as much of the stain with paper towel / dry towel. Then saturate the stained area with Greysons Wine Stain Remover and allow the product to work for 5-10 minutes. Hand wash or launder as per the fabric instructions. Before putting in the dryer, check the stained area. If the stain persists, repeat the above procedure before placing in the dryer.
If the stain is old (and dried) we recommend treating with the product for a minimum of 10 minutes. Then follow the subsequent steps mentioned above for a fresh stain.
